“I had one foot out because I didn’t want to get hurt.
I needed to be perfect.” More than a year after her split from Ryan Seacrest, Julianne Hough admits there wasn’t much right in the relationship — but she’s taking the blame.
Hough and Seacrest broke up after almost three years together.

I was seeing a couple people, but immediately [pretends to text guys], ‘You are nice, but this is going nowhere.’ The next day my ‘Curve’ co-star introduced [Brooks and me]. “Now I’m not holding anything back, because I’d rather get my heart broken than never know what it is to be completely, madly in love.
I needed to be perfect.” Hough tells the magazine it was actually the breakup with the “American Idol” host that led her to re-examine her dating life, “I had this epiphany when my family went to a six-day seminar [last November] about creating your own destiny,” she says.
